When your forwards have problems scoring goals, it should be a problem for a coach. However, at CE Sabadell FC is totally the opposite, as their defenders have come to the team’s rescue at the start of Liga Adelante.
Javier Salamero's side sit mid-table with seven points from a possible 18, and have scored seven goals compared to the nine they’ve conceded. Four of these goals have been from defenders: in the first game of the season against RCD Mallorca, defenders Cristian García and Carlos Hernández both scored to give the side a 4-0 at home.
Another member of the defensive line to earn points for the side from Catalonia is Kiko Olivas, who earned a draw in the dying seconds against Club Deportivo Alavés in the fourth round of games.
In total, four of the seven points the side have earned are directly thanks to goals scored by their defenders. Talking about the lack of goals up top, one of the goal scorers in defence Cristian said, "We've got strikers of great quality, and they’ll end up scoring a lot of goals, I’m convinced of that".
