RCD Mallorca and Deportivo Alavés, fifteenth and nineteenth in the league respectively, have struggled to find victory of late. The Balearic outfit have not won since matchday ten, while the visitors, who have drawn three of their last five games, last won on matchday nine.
José Luis Oltra is still without João Víctor in midfield and Tomer Hemed up front. The Mallorca coach is well aware of just how important this match is: "The plan every week is to win".
The Alavés manager, Natxo González, spoke about the danger the home side poses: "They will be trying very hard to take the lead". The visiting coach will be without Gorka Laborda up front, Beobide in midfield or Unai Medina in defence, as all three are injured.
