Gálvez out for four weeks

The bad news just keeps on coming for Paco Jémez. Centre back and key player this season in Liga BBVA Alejandro Gálvez has suffered a muscle tear in his left thigh, and will be unavailable for selection for around four weeks.

The player from Granada will, in theory, miss the games against RCD Espanyol and Granada CF at home, and won’t travel to Sevilla for the game against Real Betis Balompié at the Estadio Benito Villamarín.

Gálvez is the fourth absentee in Rayo’s defensive line following injuries to Zé Castro, Leonel Galeano and Sergio Rodríguez 'Rodri'. Having started 11 games this season, scoring twice, he will be a big miss for Paco Jémez over the coming weeks.
