Injuries at Valencia

Valencia CF’s Ricardo Costa and Éver Banega ended Sunday’s 3-1 victory against Sevilla injured. The skipper Costa was the worst affected, suffering a hamstring strain in his right leg that is likely to keep him out for 10 days, meaning he will miss the Liga BBVA ties against Granada CF and Raya Vallecano.

The Argentinean central midfielder suffered internal bruising on his shinbone, and according to official sources at the Mestalla, he is a serious doubt for Wednesday’s game.

Without doubt they will be two huge misses for Miroslav Djukić’s side, with the Portuguese Costa a key defensive figure at the start of this season, whilst Banega is the creative spark in Valencia’s midfield.
