Javier Aguirre, new RCD Mallorca coach

RCD Mallorca have a coach to face the nine games remaining for the end of LaLiga Santander 2021/22.

The Mexican Javier Aguirre will be in charge of directing the island club, which on Tuesday decided to dismiss its until then coach Luis García Plaza after linking six consecutive defeats in LaLiga Santander.

Aguirre, who has extensive experience in the championship after passing through CA Osasuna, Atlético de Madrid, Real Zaragoza, RCD Espanyol and CD Leganés, will try to achieve permanence in the top flight of Mallorca, which entered the relegation places last day after losing to Espanyol.

For this, they will have nine games ahead of them in which they will try to reverse the dynamics of the last days to achieve permanence in LaLiga Santander.
