SÁB 28.12.2013

On the 30th of December the Santiago Bernabéu will host the solidarity match 'Champions for Life'. It is a tie that will bring together stars from both Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante, showing the talent of league football in Spain.

Liga Adelante is one of the most competitive competitions in all of Europe. Experience, quality and youth are three factors that are mixed and make the league so appealing to lovers of the game. At 'Champions for Life', all of these values will be represented. A fantastic selection of players, which will help both the competition and its sides grow, will show their human sides.

Veterans Manuel Pablo (RC Deportivo de La Coruña), José Carlos de Araujo 'Nunes' (RCD Mallorca) and Leo Franco (Real Zaragoza) will bring knowledge and maturity to the East and West sides who will face off on Monday. The Canarian full back is into his 16th campaign with the Galician side, which has made him a reference point of Spanish football. The Argentine goalkeeper has followed a similar trajectory, spending 15 seasons in Spanish football, and defender Nunes is one of Mallorca's most emblematic players, now in his ninth year with the club.

Other Liga Adelante regulars such as Roberto Canella (Real Sporting de Gijón), Manuel Jesús Arana (RC Recreativo de Huelva), Iñaki Goitia (Deportivo Alavés) and Manu (CD Lugo) will be present at the match and are sure to bring quality and a sense of calm to the tie.

When talking of freshness and youth we must talk about Carles Planas (FC Barcelona B), Omar Mascarell (Real Madrid Castilla) and CD Tenerife’s rising star Ayoze Pérez, who has scored seven times in Liga Adelante this season.

The list of Liga Adelante players is completed by players of some stature: Yuri de Souza (SD Ponferradina), Jean-Sylvain Babin (AD Alcorcón), Yuri Berchiche (SD Eibar), Moisés Hurtado (Girona FC), Javi Hervás (Hércules CF), Ritchie Kitoko (Real Jaén), Dani Jiménez (CD Mirandés), Álex Martínez (Real Murcia), Juanma Marrero (CD Numancia), Antonio Hidalgo (CE Sabadell) and Nauzet Alemán (UD Las Palmas). It is a line up of players who will help turn this solidarity initiative into a spectacle that cannot be missed.
