On Thursday, the Estadio Benito Villamarín will be the scene of the Liga BBVA matchday 11 clash between Real Betis Balompié and Levante UD, two teams who currently find themselves in very different situations in the table.

The Andalusian club, which is in the relegation zone, needs a victory to help it climb the table, especially after its humiliating 5-0 defeat at the hands of Club Atlético de Madrid. "We need to go back to basics and rediscover what used to work and how we used to play", stated Betis manager Pepe Mel, who will be without the injured Nosa and Lolo Reyes, and possibly Salva Sevilla, who has a swollen toe.

For their part, Levante are seventh in the league, close to the European spots, and are coming off the back of two wins, the last a 3-0 victory over RCD Espanyol. "We have to try and be strong. There will be a great atmosphere and that should motivate us. If we want to take another step forward and beat Betis, we have to play a very high standard of football", noted the team's manager, Joaquín Caparrós, who has left Rémi Gomis, Nong, Ángel Rodríguez, Rubén García, Nikos and Miguel Pallardó out of the squad.
