Damien Perquis has been operated on at the Clínica Fremap for a double fracture in his jaw, meaning he will be out of action for a month and a half.
The Polish centre back suffered brain trauma in the match between Málaga CF and Real Betis Balompié, resulting in concussion and a loss of consciousness after colliding with Fabrice Olinga in the 51st minute of the match.
The Betis player had to leave the pitch in an ambulance and was taken to the Hospital Fremap de Sevilla where a maxillofacial surgeon diagnosed the injury. For his part, Málaga’s Cameroonian forward Fabrice went straight to the hospital following the match to check on the wellbeing of Perquis.
