Víctor Machín, out for eight to ten days

Bad news for Sevilla FC, who will not be able to pick one of its hottest players for the next league clashes against Rayo Vallecano and Real Sociedad de Fútbol. Also, the player's return before the second UEFA Europa League match against SC Freiburg will be hit and miss.

After leaving the field with a niggle in the match against Valencia CF (3-1 defeat), a “minor intramuscular tear between the semitendinosus and the biceps fermoris” was detected in a medical examination in Tuesday, which the club's website confirms will keep the player out for eight to ten days.

Víctor Machín has been one of Sevilla's form players so far this season, playing in the club's five league matches and its first Europa League tie, in which the side defeated Estoril Praia 1-2 with a goal from Machín.
